Lions Club of Fairlop attended the Welcome Centre with a view to assisting the Welcome Project feed homeless people

Lions Amarjit and Surjit from the Lions Club of Fairlop attended the Welcome Centre with a view to assisting the Welcome Project, as the Fairlop Lions had successfully been running a food run in Central London for 3 years.   Westminster Council advised all the soup/food runs to assist homeless people locally, so the Lions made the Welcome Centre their local choice.  In conjunction with the Singh Sabha Gurdwara in Seven Kings, the Lions managed to secure and provide hot food for approximately 50 clients fortnightly.  Hot food is dropped off at the Centre on alternate Wednesdays, this food is all donated by the Gurdwara and the collection and drop off is co-ordinated by the Fairlop Lions.  The Lions Club fund raise and donate resources and manpower to charities both local and overseas.
